Amazon Wish List: A Simple Way to Make a Big Difference for Children
The Milwaukee Chapter of the Christ Child Society is pleased to offer an Amazon Wish List as an easy and meaningful way to support our Follow the Child programs—including Baby Layettes and My Stuff Bags—which serve infants, children, and teens experiencing crisis transitions.
For children entering foster care or emergency shelter, everyday necessities are often in short supply. Through our Wish List, donors can provide the exact items our volunteers use to prepare personalized bags and layettes for children across Greater Milwaukee, ensuring each child receives what they truly need, right when they need it.
Supporting Follow the Child Programs
Our Follow the Child programs are built on a simple but powerful principle: caring for the child in front of us, responding to their immediate needs with dignity, compassion, and love. The Amazon Wish List supports two core programs:
- Baby Layettes provide essential items for newborns and infants, many of whom enter care with little or nothing. Donated items help us create complete layettes that include clothing, blankets, and personal care items, offering comfort and reassurance to babies and their caregivers during a vulnerable time.
- My Stuff Bags serve children and teens who are transitioning into shelter or foster care. Each child receives a personalized bag filled with brand-new, age-appropriate items including clothing, hygiene supplies, and comfort items. These bags offer more than necessities; they communicate that each child is seen, valued, and worthy of care.
